Dear Friends,
Who likes Mondays?! If you’re anything like me, Mondays are groggy, uninspired and with nothing particularly to look forward to… especially the mornings. But what if we tweaked your Monday routine. Instead of you coming into work and sharing your weekend with your friends and co-workers, why don’t you share it with me? What if you were able to help change the world. One connection at a time.
#CaringConnections
We make connections all the time. We network. We have people we know and people we have just met. We connect through talking about our dreams. Our fears. Our desires. Our hopes. Everyone at one point or the other truly wants to be heard. And listened by someone who wants to help make a dream come true. We do it on a daily basis but may not be aware of what an impact it makes!
I make connections all the time. And I love it! I know a lot of people and I have a lot of faith in them because these are authentic connections. If someone is looking for a job. I may know someone who is hiring. I make an email intro and let them take it from there.
If I know someone who is working on a passion project helping young girls in Jamaica to be able to go to school and I just met a young mom who is half Jamaican and wants to give back to her community. I make the connection.
#CaringConnections
Do the connections always work? No. Is the connection appreciated? Absolutely. Because it’s #CaringConnections.
This is all about getting out of our heads and thinking about others. There are many ills in the world and we can’t change them all, but we have the ability to make someone’s day with just a small gesture. A way to help others and not necessarily get anything back in return except - an at least I tried!
It is a true altruistic endeavour that others bear the fruit from… not you. But what you can take pride in and what will make you feel fantastic is that person who was seeking help or support no longer feels alone because they aren’t since they have you. They have one more person that knows what they seek and maybe, just maybe, that #CaringConnection is what will motivate them to wake up fresh in the morning. Be inspired and look forward to Mondays.
My assignment to you - if you choose to accept it: Mondays tweet me @DearDIDI_KSC and tell me your #CaringConnections story. Use the hashtag. I will RT and I will put you into a draw for an Arbonne gift certificate.
I look forward to hearing from you!
All my love,
Me
